    All of our tutors are certified under Amigos Tutoring's policies, procedures, and training and onboarding processes.
  • What type of tutoring do you offer?
    We offer K-12, SAT Prep, and FSA Prep.
  • Can I book a one-day session?
    No, we don't offer one-day sessions.
  • What is the assessment exam?
    The assessment exam evaluates students and typically takes between 45 minutes to an hour. We administer a standard, prized state exam in the indicated subject area. Following the exam, we grade it to identify errors and areas where the student needs improvement in their coursework. Meanwhile, the tutor accesses the student's gradebook, noting strengths, weaknesses, and behavioral aspects. Based on this assessment, the tutor provides professional recommendations for moving forward. Parents can then select suitable tutoring sessions.
  • What is the pricing?
    We offer several pricing plans: 2 sessions per week: $50 per tutoring session 4 sessions per week: $30 per tutoring session 8 sessions per week: $25 per tutoring session These plans are paid monthly: $400, $480, or $800 respectively. There is also a mandatory $100 registration fee.
  • How long and what is the price of the SAT course?
    "The SAT course is 3 month long course and includes 36 sessions priced at $25 per session." - "What if I can't do 3 months?: "Anything less than 36 sessions is priced at $45 for 1-hour sessions."
  • Do you provide private tutoring?
    No, we do not offer private tutoring.
  • Does Amigos Tutoring work with scholarships or insurances?
    Amigos Tutoring does not work directly with any insurance or scholarships. Clients are responsible for paying for services upfront. We provide receipts and signed contracts, but we do not guarantee approval from insurance or scholarships. If you have paperwork that requires our signature, please email our customer service team for review. Approval for insurance or scholarships typically takes 30 to 90 days, so we recommend obtaining approval before scheduling appointments.
  • Do you provide customer service in person or over the phone?
    To keep our tutoring costs beneficial for clients and streamline our services, we provide customer service exclusively via email. Emails are monitored and responded to promptly, typically Monday through Friday from 3 PM to 9 PM. If you email us after hours or on weekends, expect a reply on the next business day starting at 3 PM.
  • Can I pay with cash?
    Cash payments are accepted only on your first day of registration. Subsequent payments require a credit card or debit card on file for automatic billing. Cash payments are not accepted after the initial registration.
  • Can you guarantee the gender of the tutor?
    We cannot guarantee the same gender for tutors due to operational factors such as illness, promotions, or transfers to other locations. All tutors at Amigos Tutoring are trained according to our tutoring procedures and matched based on the student's needs.
  • How do we know your operating hours?
    For our current hours of operation, please follow us on Instagram at amigos_tutoring. You can also view our calendar at the physical location upon registration or click the Calendar tab on our website. Please note, we do not follow Miami-Dade or Broward county curriculum dates, so we may be open even on teacher planning days. We also send automatic emails for updates; if you're not receiving these, please contact our customer service team to ensure your information is up to date.
